GreenTech

GreenTech is a regional private-sector company established in 2008 to address business and development challenges through energy efficiency, renewable energy, water, agro-food, and environmental solutions. GreenTech, as one of MENA’s first clean-technology companies, has played an important role in developing solar photovoltaic (PV) industries in countries such as Jordan and promoting a water-energy-food nexus approach to economic growth.

GreenTech’s work in Jordan includes conducting trade studies and community mapping of clean-tech economic opportunities; facilitating public-private partnerships (PPPs) and access to finance in Jordanian municipalities; assisting local firms in optimizing operations; and training women and youth in business startup, market linkages, and revenue generation.

GreenTech has offices in Amman and four other countries. The Jordanian Ministry of Environment, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), Global Affairs Canada (GAC), USAID, and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) are among GreenTech’s clients.
