Business Support Incubator

Business incubators can promote economic and social empowerment among entrepreneurs of all ages. Smart DESERT, in cooperation with National Centre for Agricultural Research (NARC) in the Baqaa region, established the first business support incubator in the agricultural sector to provide technical, legal, and business support services for farmers, home-based  business owners and young people with entrepreneurial ideas.

The incubator will provide young entrepreneurs with opportunities for innovation and leadership in the agricultural sector. Trainings will also be offered to farmers to help them reduce production costs through the efficient use of energy and reliance on solar power, increase their revenues, and connect with existing markets while creating new ones.  Additionally, entrepreneurs and farmers can seek legal counsel for their businesses. The incubator will also serve as a hub where for awareness raising sessions on workers’ rights and improving working conditions to meet the requirements and regulations of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Jordanian government.
